This is such a cool spot to stay. It feels like you are walking back into history. We loved the feel of the whole place. The houses are comfortable, and have kitchens and a back yard. Everything is made of stone, the houses, the walkways, …
This place is SO CUTE! You need to check it out at least for one night! Housed are pretty and clean and have their own atmosphere. Sunsets are stunning. Only thing to ba aware of is lady in a dining/breakfast location - she is super stern and wont take your orders unless you sit and wait for her at your table (even tho part of the breakfast is a buffet, she was a bit scary...). Go there! Recommend!!
I would like to offer a compliment to the staff and their service. On our holiday in August, we spent three nights more on Flores Island than we planned due to the weather conditions (the airport was closed for two days). We called this hotel from the airport, and they found a very nice apartment with two bedrooms for one night in their resort. The resort is located in an abandoned village. Everything was wonderful: the apartment, breakfast, and the neighborhood.
After a night, the resort was full; all hotels on the island in this situation were overbooked. The staff found a solution for us. They founded a new hotel, Villa da Mar, next to the ocean. It was a wonderful apartment with two bedrooms. They also recommended restaurants for breakfast and dinner. I can really recommend their staff; they really helped my family in our difficult situation.
More than the beautiful vistas and the magnificent facilities, the staff of this amazing resort are exceptional. No detail left unnoticed, no request denied. They made my friend's wedding weekend magical. Kudos to them all. Can't recommend highly enough.
From beginning to end, this is an exceptional place. Friendly staff who go the extra mile, lovely stone houses with little gardens, amazing breakfast, wonderful views......|We were there over New Year and it was ideal.|A piece of paradise on the edge of Europe
Awesome village for vacation. All the houses are equipped with modern amenities and have very comfortable beds. The administration does a good job and is in easy to reach location. There is plenty of parking space, animals, and touristic locations nearby. The breakfast was superb with hot and cold meal/drink choices.
Worst restaurant experience we've had in the Azores. I barely post reviews but this is good to know for others seeking restaurants in Flores. At arrival, we didn't feel welcome to come without reservation. We could sit outside and did. It took ages for someone to take the order. We both ordered the vegan main dish, but it was just a collection of beans which was absolutely not main dish worthy for €15 per dish. Not in portion or in taste. And it was cold. They eventually heated it up. Honestly, it's not worth the wait and money. Location outside is pretty though.
Absolute paradise! Staying here felt like I was living on another planet. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming, as well as providing fantastic
food and beverages. It is my dream to be able to stay here again someday ♥️
